Hollywood golden girl Jennifer Aniston may not be spilling the beans about ex-hubby Brad Pitt's alleged infidelities in a forthcoming interview with Vanity Fair magazine, but the actress apparently has plenty to say about UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie. Sources say that Aniston is critical of Jolie for lending her high-profile name to a corrupt institution.

Fearing Backlash, Some in Hollywood Veer Right |
HOLLYWOOD, CA—While the early word was that Jennifer Aniston was finally breaking her silence about ex-hubby Brad Pitt's infidelities in a forthcoming Vanity Fair exclusive, sources close to the magazine have since denied that account. But that doesn't mean that the interview won't be revealing.
According to several Hollywood insiders, Aniston uses the forum to let loose on rival actress Angelina Jolie. While Tinsel Town has been abuzz for months with talk that the stars of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" are more than just friends, Aniston's saves her fire for a different issue: Jolie's connections with the United Nations, an institution Aniston views as thoroughly corrupt and desperately in need of reform.
No goodwill for UN—or its ambassador
"As far as she's concerned, the UN basically stood in the way of the US when we needed to defend ourselves," says a source close to the actress. "She also thinks that by associating herself with the UN Angelina is putting a pretty face on the oil-for-food scandal."
Angelina Jolie became the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in 2001 after a trip to the African nation of Sierra Leone. Since accepting the position, the Academy Award winning actress has traveled to countries including Ecuador, Cambodia, and Tanzania in an effort to bring attention to the plight of refugees.
Paying her dues
In recent weeks, the two high-profile actresses have found themselves in the center of a nasty split over the future of the United Nations. Jolie thinks that the institution provides an invaluable service, and backs a proposal to add new permanent members to the UN Security Council. Aniston rejects that proposal and supports a Congressional bill that would withhold US dues to the UN—including financial support for peacekeeping operations—until the institution gets its house in order.
Reports that "Plan B," the film production company, jointly owned by Aniston and Brad Pitt, is at work on a tell-all documentary about Kojo Annan, the son of UN chief Kofi Annan, could not be confirmed at press time.
A plug for Bolton
Aniston also reportedly uses the Vanity Fair interview to put in a plug for President Bush's embattled nominee to the UN, John Bolton. The actress allegedly tells Mr. Bolton to 'hang in there' and not let 'all the negativity' get him down.
"She knows what it's like to be the focus of a smear campaign," says a friend of the actress, "to have the media spotlight shined on you everyday. She thinks that he would bring a fresh air to an institution that is definitely in need of a shake up, but she can also just really relate to what he's going through."
Do you think that Angelina Jolie should resign from her post as Goodwill Ambassador unless key reforms are implemented at the UN? Talk back to [email protected]

There's no denying that the UN had and has it's share of corruption to clean up, but for Aniston to use her personal embattlement to trash Jolie for one of the things that is incredibly good about the UN - working to help refugees and the poor in the word - shame on her. But I guess when you're rich and bitter you can throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Aniston might also do well to remember that the US has significant oversight within the walls of the UN being one of the few permanent members of the Security Council, instead of using it to expose the corruption, they used it to plant listening devices in the private offices of their political opponents.

Aniston is on target. The UN needs a severe clean-up and Jolie does not highlight real issues. She is merely a puppet for things she knows nothing about. A pretty puppet for the UN and it needs one. We need to clean-up our own backyard and stop using so much oil. Many of these people ARE poor but it is the Western world making sure they stay poor and then sending some feel good dollars to clean up a few drops from the ocean of bad will that is being sent constantly. Oil companies and big business are bribing these poor countries officials and givernment and abusing local labour to stay in business.
When someone begins pinpinting the hypocrisy of these actions - then I will start listening, but Jolie isn't helping. She is only a puppet to help sweep the dirt under the rug. Wake-up America you are gas hogs and you would sell your own mother to get the gas to fuel that SUV (including Jolie) to get your spoiled children 3 blocks to a soccer field.

THIS A FAKE ARTICLE GUYS! STOP WITH THE MEAN COMMENTS ON BOTH PARTS. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE JENNIFER WHEN YOU SEE IN ARTICLE WITH HER NAME SKIP OVER IT!
BY THE WAY... I LOVE YOU,JEN!

Frist of all I do not believe jennifer made those comments about "Holie". And if she did none of you are really saying anything about her political belifes, all your comments are about her career or personal life, so if anyone needs to shut up and get a life it's you. And for the person that called her a "bitter, conservative", you should know she was a Big supporter of Kerry in the 2004 election. She is over the whole "Brangelina" thing, so maybe you should jump on the ban wagon.
DERAILED is coming to theatres EVERYWHERE NOV. 11, for all you who thinks she's over.
AND she has 6 more to come. Go see those, too!

If any of you women putting these nasty mean posts were going through what jennifer is, I'd bet you wouldn't have half the strength she has shown. That woman has every right to be bitter, and she seems to be a genuine person, I don't think any of you are, or you would be more compassionate. How in the hell do any of you know where her money goes? You don't, she may give money to charity, but she dosen't need to flaunt how giving she is, she just knows. That's a good person. I will laugh at all of you when she hits the box office huge with the 3-4 movies she has coming this year, and someday starts her family in an honest way without stealing someone elses husband to do it. GIVE THE WOMAN A BREAK!Do you ever see her out blowing money on thousand dollar handbags or 300 hundred dollar t-shirts like other stars? Didn't think so. I'm sure she does her part to back what she believes in, and that's no ones business but her's.

Aniston's statements show exactly what sort of uninformed airhead she actually is. The U.S. already withholds huge amounts of its assessed support for the United Nations. The United Nations would benefit from more U.S. support and not less.
Now that Aniston has revealed herself not only as a foolish, trivial woman, but also as an uninformed right wing idiot, I'm even happier Pitt has moved on to a woman who has an international viewpoint and identifies herself with humanitarian issues.

I think we need to stopp obessessing over movie stars and their lives nor take their words or views as gospel. We need to understand that they are not superior or even fully informed on world polictics and forgien affairs. If we want to do the moral thing and help those whom are truly suffering due to corruption and the manifestation of greed, we need to independently become informed through unbiase knowledge that is perpetuated constantly by the media. We must stop being told what's out there and become active members in causes we believe in, if we ever plan to eradicate injustice and tyranny. Stars are entertainers, nothing more. They are not idols to be worshipped or to accept their views in blind faith. Wake up North America and Europe! Stop being decieved by those whom play a role in an act. After all they are actors!!!!!!!!!!!! And they become rich in abundance due to socities stupidity about fame. While people are starving in the masses, we he fans only make the famous richer while we strive to make ends meet. Think logically those whom claim to be a part of the civilized world. Is it justifiable to have millions or billions sitting in investments aquiring interest through the blood of the poor, while a vast part of the world cannot even eat one meal a day. Pure evil is what I call this. And we the fans of the rich and famous have contributed to this evil, by obsessing over stars and their personal live, while they the stars don't give a damn about the fans. WAKE UP! We are all being suckered out of our money, while those whom really could use it and apprecaite it are despreatly begging us for some of our misquided attention.

I am amazed at how many people have absolutely no ability to recognize when someone has a lack of character. Ms. Jolie has consistantly demonstrated narcissistic, and at times, bizarre behavior since she became a public figure several years ago. While improbable, I think that it would be refreshing if Ms. Jolie could imagine what it would be like to be in Ms. Aniston's position. Unfortunately, this cognitive role reversal is unlikely given Ms. Jolie's infatuation with herself. If Mr. Pitt has developed a romantic interest in Ms. Jolie, he is in for an extremely rude awakening.

Angelina Jolie is not only a beautiful woman, she is one of the best actresses around. On the other hand, Jennifer Aniston cleans up well, but as far as being beautiful, she is not even in Angelina's league. Add to that the fact that Angelina is honestly trying to do good in the world and I think she has much more substance than Jennifer. If Jennifer has made any negative comments about Angelina's UN work, she is doing so out of jealousy and the knowledge that she doesn't measure up. The only thing she ever had going for her was her sitcom part. She couldn't do the kind of work that Angelina has done in 'Gigi' or 'Girl, Interrupted.' She's one-dimensional and only able to play various versions of Rachel. She needs to get over the fact that she was never good enough for Brad Pitt and was lucky to have him for the time she did. If I was Brad and had a choice between Angelina and Jennifer, it would be no contest.

I also hear that Anniston, in the same interview, says that the Khmer Rouge was "not that bad," and Pol Pot had "a real intensity, almost a James Cagney thing." Jolie's adopted child is "fucking lucky to be on this earth."

Jennifer Anniston is already a has been, and should get over herself. She wanted to put her "movie career" first, and now here is her chance. She sounds bitter and sad. Why doesn't she do some good works with her time and her millions.....No? too busy getting her hair done? her fake tan, etc., Clothes, big movies?! her career peak was her silly sitcom and that is that.

Jolie doesn't need to listen to those ugly comments about her. I believe right after the movie Mr and Mrs Smith the gossips will fade away and by then we will know that it's all part of the promotion for the film.
I do feel sorry for Aniston but it's the relationship problem between her and Pitt. We read about how much Pitt wants a baby. Perhaps this is the main issue because we all know Pitt is a family man. So don't blame Jolie just because she's a beautiful mother, has box office movies, has a good heart, genuine, and the list continue.

well I think this whole brad and angelina thing is just a publicity stunt used to promote the Mr and Mrs Smith movie. many actors have done this before. They have gotten together weeks befor the movie is to debue and then go back to their original partners afterwards. I am almost positive that as soon as the movie thing passes brad and jennifer will reconcile their issues.

whether ms. aniston said those stuff or not, i dont care. as far as im concern, ms. jolie is genuinely concern with the poverty around the world and that she's willing to give lots of her time & a portion of her earnings. with that alone, makes her admirable. I must say she's a woman of substance. Beautiful, brainy & goodnatured, a unique persona indeed.

I think jennifer aniston is just jealous. She has done nothing compared to the work and dedication that Angelina Jolie has done. She needs to keep her mouth shut.

MT's post is ridiculous and immature.... You have basically responded with "well, she's prettier than you"... Trying separating your opinion of a person from the issues being offered up.
